Great opportunity: fabricator-welder (Kentucky)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Garrard County, Kentucky. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. What we are looking for: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding On a typical shift you will sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish.
