You should have: • Good knowledge of driving-hours and tachograph rules • Clean driving record with no recent endorsements • Valid HGV/LGV Class 1 (C+E) licence On a typical shift you will couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock; secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars; log working hours on the tachograph and swap driver cards; report defects and book the unit in for servicing. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
