Bar bender and fixer • Carroll County, Tennessee

We are recruiting: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Carroll County, Tennessee. You will be based on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Your main tasks: • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length Ideal candidate: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates Full-time with occasional weekends.
