Immediate opening: abattoir worker (South Dakota)

Great opportunity: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Jones County, South Dakota. You will work at a halal meat counter. Your main tasks: • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate $150 per day, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
