Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Hardin County, Ohio. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through On a typical shift you will control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring). 6+ years on the tools preferred.
