Now hiring: we are hiring a concrete pump mate in Lee County, Illinois. You will work on a road and bridge project. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on RCC and concreting works • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage Day to day you will screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls; patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout; carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab; discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms; erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour; compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing.
