Port container crane operator wanted in City of Bristol

Immediate opening: we are hiring a port container crane operator in City of Bristol, England. You will work at a shipbuilding yard. You should have: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination On a typical shift you will fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; read and interpret the load chart before every lift; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground.
