Now hiring: we are hiring an incoming goods inspector in Jefferson County, Iowa. You will work at a food processing unit. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work rotating and night shifts • Confident using vernier callipers, micrometers and gauges You will inspect welds, paint finish and surface defects under inspection lighting; operate height gauges, profile projectors and coordinate measuring tools; check packaging, labelling and barcode accuracy before dispatch; measure finished parts with vernier callipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges; segregate and quarantine defective or out-of-tolerance items; compare components against approved samples and engineering drawings. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $240 per day, based on your experience.
