Join our team: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Ottawa County, Michigan. Your main tasks: • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish Ideal candidate: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) 6+ years on the tools preferred.
