Foundry labourer wanted in Jasper County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Jasper County, Illinois. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. Your main tasks: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring What we are looking for: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $3,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
