Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage The role involves: • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
