Now hiring: we are hiring a milling machinist in Jackson County, Minnesota. You will be based at an automotive components factory. On the job you will handle: • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe You should have: • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
