Vacancy available: we are hiring a plant operator in Chittenden County, Vermont. You will be based at a road and highway construction project. Day-to-day duties: • Lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains • Backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers • Dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds • Load spoil into tippers and dumpers cleanly without spillage • Dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels • Work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance You should have: • Confident working to fine grade and tight tolerances • Proven experience on 360 tracked excavators (8t–30t) 4+ years on the tools preferred.
