The role involves: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges You should have: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
