Urgent requirement: sample machinist (California)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sample machinist in Lassen County, California. You will work on an export house sewing floor. Day to day you will set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line. Ideal candidate: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently 5+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $3,500 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
