Now hiring: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Saint Helena Parish, Louisiana. You will be based at a halal meat counter. Your main tasks: • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Season and marinate meat on request You should have: • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers 2+ years on the tools preferred.
