Reinforcement steel fixer — Municipal Area Council

We are recruiting: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Municipal Area Council, Federal Capital Territory. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites On a typical shift you will read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
