Vacancy available: we are hiring a gas pipeline fitter in McDowell County, West Virginia. You will be based at a boiler and appliance service centre. Ideal candidate: • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders On a typical shift you will carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply; locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections; install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation; install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves; complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation; braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints.
