Immediate opening: we are hiring a render and set plasterer in Shelby County, Iowa. You will be based on a busy domestic building site. What we are looking for: • CSCS card or willing to obtain one • Reliable timekeeping and a strong work ethic • Proven experience hand-skimming and floating to a flat finish The role involves: • Patch and repair cracked, blown or hollow plaster • Skim plasterboard to a smooth finish ready for decoration • Apply scratch coats and key the surface for the next coat • Apply bonding and browning undercoats to brickwork and blockwork • Apply tanking and renovating plaster to damp walls • Fix and set angle beads, stop beads and corner beads 6+ years on the tools preferred.
