Now hiring: sand plant operator (Kano State)

Join our team: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Kura, Kano State. You will work at an aluminium die-casting plant. Day to day you will fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding 2+ years on the tools preferred.
