Now hiring: we are hiring a lift technician in Highland, Scotland. What we are looking for: • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work The role involves test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers; service the traction motor, brake and gearbox; install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway; carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes; rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables. At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
