Vertical transportation technician — Barrow County

You will set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers; install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway; fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments; run load and overload tests with test weights. What we are looking for: • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work 3+ years on the tools preferred.
