Industrial sewing operator wanted in Plymouth County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Plymouth County, Iowa. You will work in a small denim manufacturing unit. Day to day you will clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension. Ideal candidate: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
