GMAW welder • Kidder County, North Dakota

Great opportunity: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Kidder County, North Dakota. The job is on a structural steel site. What we are looking for: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Willing to work shifts and overtime Day-to-day duties: • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs Full-time with occasional weekends.
