Conventional mill operator • Schuyler County, New York

Immediate opening: we are hiring a conventional mill operator in Schuyler County, New York. You will be based at an automotive components factory. Day-to-day duties: • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges Ideal candidate: • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
