We are recruiting: we are hiring a furniture maker in Allen County, Kansas. The job is on a commercial fit-out site. On the job you will handle: • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Install skirting boards, architraves and dado rails • Build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions • Glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together • Apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board You should have: • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists • At least 2 years' hands-on carpentry experience Part-time with flexible hours.
