Trowel-trade bricklayer — North Slope Borough

Great opportunity: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in North Slope Borough, Alaska. You will work on a commercial construction site. Day-to-day duties: • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation Ideal candidate: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
