Vacancy available: sample machinist (North Dakota)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sample machinist in McHenry County, North Dakota. You will be based in a sampling and tailoring workshop. What we are looking for: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines On a typical shift you will set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line. 6+ years on the tools preferred.
