The role involves: • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Season and marinate meat on request Requirements: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
