Aluminium TIG welder — Montgomery County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Montgomery County, Illinois. You will work at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Your main tasks: • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Full-time with occasional weekends.
