Health and safety supervisor • Yazoo County, Mississippi

We are recruiting: we are hiring a health and safety supervisor in Yazoo County, Mississippi. You will be based at a busy construction site. Day-to-day duties: • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors Ideal candidate: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate Six days a week, one day off.
