We are recruiting: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Clatsop County, Oregon. The job is at a textile finishing unit. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory Day-to-day duties: • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
