Lifting rigger — City of York

Immediate opening: we are hiring a lifting rigger in City of York, England. Day-to-day duties: • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists What we are looking for: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness 3+ years on the tools preferred.
