Urgent requirement: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Minnehaha County, South Dakota. The job is on an offshore oil and gas platform. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams Your main tasks: • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position Full-time, day shift.
