Vacancy available: we are hiring an elevator service technician in Tuscola County, Michigan. On the job you will handle: • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers • Fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes Requirements: • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics 1+ years on the tools preferred.
