Requirements: • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing The role involves: • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
