Counter butcher wanted in Seward County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a counter butcher in Seward County, Nebraska. You will work in a hotel or restaurant butchery. Ideal candidate: • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling Day-to-day duties: • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $130 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
