Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Buchanan County, Missouri. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection The role involves operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring.
