Immediate opening: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Fisher County, Texas. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection The role involves: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
