Lift maintenance fitter • City of Portsmouth, Virginia

We are recruiting: we are hiring a lift maintenance fitter in City of Portsmouth, Virginia. You will be based in a hospital with heavy lift traffic. On a typical shift you will replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays; wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches; adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy; measure rope tension and check for broken strands. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring • 2+ years on lift installation and maintenance At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
