Earthmoving equipment operator wanted in Lafourche Parish

Immediate opening: we are hiring an earthmoving equipment operator in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana. The job is on a road construction project. Requirements: • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes • Able to read grade stakes, drawings and site levels • Safety awareness around banksmen, trucks and other plant You will push-load motor scrapers during bulk earthmoving; rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank; refuel the machine and record running hours; grease pins and bushes and check undercarriage tension daily; form embankments and batter slopes to the required angle; spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction. 6+ years on the tools preferred. $18 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
