Join our team: we are hiring a metal caster in Grand Traverse County, Michigan. Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Day-to-day duties: • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
