Garment machinist wanted in Macoupin County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a garment machinist in Macoupin County, Illinois. You will work in a sampling and tailoring workshop. The role involves: • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift You should have: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Full-time with occasional weekends.
