Safety officer — Jos North

Join our team: we are hiring a safety officer in Jos North, Plateau State. What we are looking for: • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate Day to day you will ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Meals and transport allowance provided. ₦1,600 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
