Urgent requirement: argon welder (New York)

Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Allegany County, New York. You will work on a structural steel site. Requirements: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Able to pass a weld test on the spot On a typical shift you will TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel.
