Sheet metal welder — City and County of Swansea

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in City and County of Swansea, Wales. The role involves set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec. What we are looking for: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
