Join our team: we are hiring a dogger in Yolo County, California. You will work at a container port. On the job you will handle: • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio You should have: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Rotating shifts. $2,750 per project, negotiable for the right hands.
