Tig welder — Nemaha County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a tig welder in Nemaha County, Kansas. You will work at a stainless steel fabrication shop. On a typical shift you will run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring). You should have: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift.
