Now hiring: we are hiring an ironing operator in Union County, Oregon. The job is at a textile finishing unit. The role involves press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
