Beldar — Tompkins County

Now hiring: we are hiring a beldar in Tompkins County, New York. You will be based on a residential housing site. The role involves mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer; erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up; load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate; cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days; stack and store materials safely to avoid wastage; set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction. Requirements: • Physically fit and comfortable working at height • Wear safety helmet, boots and gloves at all times Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
